Suicide Prevention Hotline

988 Suicide and Crisis Hotline

Why should you contact 988?

  • If you are facing difficulties, it’s perfectly fine to open up about your emotions.
  • Whether you are contemplating suicide or simply need emotional support.
  • If you have concerns about a friend, family member, or loved one, assistance is always available.

The 988 Suicide and Crisis Line operates 24/7 nationwide, offering confidential assistance to individuals grappling with thoughts of suicide or mental health-related distress. When you call, text, or chat with 988, you'll be connected to mental health professionals within the Lifeline Network. These trained crisis counselors can guide you through any mental health crisis you or someone you know may be experiencing. 988 is accessible to non-English speakers and individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
